Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES seeks a Computational Modeling Engineer to join the Innovation and Design team. You will apply physics-based modeling to support new medical device development, creating virtual prototypes and simulations for physical insights and reduced risk.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in a related field with experience in solid mechanics/dynamics and familiarity with major simulation tools. This role focuses on image-guided therapy, diagnostics and patient monitoring within a health-tech

Qualifications

• PhD preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
• Solid understanding of physics-based modeling of solid mechanics or dynamics.
• Experience translating simulation results into insights for engineering and R&D teams.
• Curious, innovative and analytical mindset; proactive and ownership-driven.
• Experience with ANSYS, Abaqus, OpenFOAM or COMSOL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run advanced computational simulations for medical devices.
• Create, validate and apply physics-based models to guide design decisions.
• Strengthen the team’s expertise in computational (bio)physics.
• Keep up to date with new modeling techniques and tools.
• Translate application needs into effective modeling strategies for projects.
