Job summary

Trinamics on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven seeks a Computational Modeling Engineer to advance medical device solutions through state-of-the-art simulations. You will apply multiphysics and physics-based models to real engineering challenges in healthcare, translating insights into design decisions.

English is the working language, and a long-term assignment is offered until mid-2027, with room for technical and personal development.

Qualifications

• Preferably a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Physics, or a closely related field
• Solid foundation in physics-based and mechanistic modeling of solid mechanics or dynamics
• Experience translating simulation results into clear, actionable insights for engineering and R&D stakeholders
• Fluent in English, both in daily and technical conversation

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research and development projects through advanced computational modeling and simulation
• Develop, apply and validate physics-based models that support design, optimization and decision-making
• Co-develop and strengthen the computational (bio)physics competence within the team
• Keep up with the latest developments in modeling methodologies, numerical techniques and simulation tools
• Explore and support new propositions across businesses translating application needs into modeling strategies
