Job summary

Signify invites you to an internship as a Mechanical Engineer Intern (3D Printing & Product Design) in Eindhoven. You will work at the forefront of additive manufacturing, contributing to new mechanical features and product archetypes for next-generation 3D-printed platforms.

You will collaborate with the product development team and the printer & material team in an industrial R&D setting. You will gain hands-on experience, own your projects, and shape solutions that matter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's student in Mechanical Engineering with interest in product design and additive manufacturing.
• Experience or strong interest in 3D printing.
• Familiar with CAD tools such as Solid Edge or SolidWorks.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to structure own work.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Available for at least 6 months in Eindhoven.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical concepts for new 3D-printed product archetypes using Solid Edge.
• Translate ideas into functional CAD models and physical prototypes.
• Work hands-on with FDM 3D printing technologies, materials, and test setups.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment with engineers.
• Take ownership of projects from concept definition to prototype validation.
