Job summary

Alphatron Marine BV in Rotterdam seeks an Installation Engineer – Inland Shipping to join our team. You will install maritime electronics on inland waterways and passenger vessels, traveling to ships and sometimes abroad, with on-site commissioning and workshop preparation.

You learn fast with our guidance, can work evenings when needed, and bring a hands-on, customer‑oriented approach. Dutch and English are essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• It is nice if you already have experience as an Installation Engineer, but not strictly necessary; training is provided.
• VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Interest in the shipping industry
• Clear communication in Dutch and English
• German language is a plus
• Proactive and able to travel and work outside office hours
• Stress-resistant and quality-focused
• Creative in devising solutions

Responsibilities

• Install maritime electronics on inland waterway and passenger vessels.
• Travel to ships with company car and perform on-board installation and commissioning.
• Work in the workshop during quieter periods to prepare upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure satisfaction and progress.
