Job summary

Alphatron Marine BV is seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to install and commission navigation and communication equipment on ships and in workshops. You will interpret electrical drawings, perform precise cabling, and handle related administration.

You will travel globally, about 10 weeks per year, visiting ships under construction and in service, with opportunities to advance through product training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• MBO diploma in Electrical Engineering Level 3/4.
• VCA certificate or willing to obtain one.
• Working at Height certificate or willing to obtain one.
• Interest in the maritime sector.
• Willing to work and travel outside office hours.
• Driving license (B).
• Good knowledge of English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission navigation and communication equipment on ships and in the workshop.
• Work from electrical drawings and perform precise cabling connections.
• Handle administration and use checklists.
• Travel to various ships, sometimes on short notice, and work at height or in confined spaces.
• Collaborate with client contacts on large projects and report progress.
• Pursue product-oriented training to become a specialist in the field.
