Job summary

Alphatron Marine, a leading importer and supplier of navigation and communication equipment, seeks an Inland Shipping Sales Manager in Rotterdam. You drive commercial success, translate customer challenges into future-proof products with R&D, and build long-term partnerships with customers in inland shipping.

You will be the driving force behind selling high-tech inland shipping solutions, with thorough training provided to assist customers expertly and close deals.

Qualifications

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably with a technical / maritime educational background.
• You adapt easily, network, and are articulate.
• Knowledge of the maritime world and an affinity for technology.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and developing commercial opportunities in inland shipping.
• Managing key accounts and building long-term partnerships.
• Visiting clients on the ship or at the office.
• Conducting market research and identifying trends, needs, and opportunities.
• Collaborating with R&D to guide technical innovations.
• Presenting and explaining solutions to end users and shipping companies.
• Preparing quotations, managing CRM, and actively following up on leads.
• Negotiating and closing deals.
• Analyzing market developments and adjusting where necessary.
• Actively contributing to innovation through new ideas and customer insights.
