Job summary

Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam is offering a Management Assistant Intern position in Amsterdam. You will support the General Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks and coordinate cross-department initiatives to ensure a smooth hotel operation and exceptional guest experience.

You will gain exposure to all hotel departments, develop leadership insight, and contribute to quality service while learning in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related study programme.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Interest in hotel operations and leadership development.

As a Management Assistant Intern, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will gain exposure to all areas of hotel operations. Supporting projects, coordinating priorities, and collaborating with department heads, you will develop a broad understanding of hotel leadership while contributing to the smooth running of the hotel and an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with daily administrative, organisational, and operational tasks
• Coordinate projects, initiatives, and follow-up actions across departments on behalf of the General Manager
• Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and management updates
• Participate in meetings and monitor progress on key actions, priorities, and deadlines
• Gain exposure to hotel operations through cross-department collaboration and support teams when needed
• Contribute to quality, guest experience, and process improvement initiatives across the hotel
• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or related study programme
• Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Passion for hospitality and learning how hotel operations function across different departments
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands
• Available for a minimum internship period of 6 months

Preferred Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Interest in hotel operations, leadership, and business management
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Previous hospitality, customer service, or administrative experience is an advantage
• Dutch or any additional language is an advantage
