Dwelling Place is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to keep our apartment community safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. You will address day-to-day repairs and support residents, ensuring timely responses and hands-on service across indoor and outdoor spaces.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to emergencies, assist with apartment turns, and uphold safety standards. Strong customer service and reliable availability are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of related maintenance experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of apartment or building maintenance.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service requests in residents' apartments and common areas safely and efficiently, including emergencies and on-call duties.
• Assist with apartment turns: clean-outs, make-readies, basic repairs like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliances.
• Maintain clean, safe shops and storage areas; coordinate with management and vendors.
• Contribute to preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and fair housing guidelines.
