Job summary

Fonterra Heerenveen seeks a proactive Maintenance Planner for our Technical Services team. You will prepare and plan preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring technicians have the right information, materials, and resources to work safely and on schedule.

• MBO+/HBO level education in a technical field.
• Experience as a Work Planner or Maintenance Planner.
• Knowledge of SAP PM and maintenance management.

About the Opportunity

Do you ensure that maintenance is never a surprise, but always a success?

For our Technical Services team, we are looking for a proactive and well-organized Maintenance Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and planning all maintenance activities. Thanks to your preparation, maintenance technicians will have the right information, materials, and resources to carry out their work safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

You will play a key role within the maintenance organization and work closely with Production, Maintenance Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, and external contractors.

What will you do?

• Prepare, plan, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Create and manage work orders within the SAP maintenance management system.
• Identify and arrange required materials, spare parts, tools, and documentation.
• Prepare maintenance shutdowns and overhauls.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production to minimize downtime.
• Monitor the maintenance backlog and the progress of planned work.
• Analyze breakdowns and maintenance history to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

What are we looking for?

• MBO+ or HBO level education and thinking capability (equivalent to vocational/higher vocational education), preferably in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Technical Business Administration
• Experience as a Work Planner, Maintenance Planner, or in a similar technical role.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems, preferably SAP PM.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with a structured way of working.
• Experience or affinity with maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and strong focus on safety.
