Job summary

Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam is offering a Maintenance Intern position where you will work with the Engineering team to gain hands-on experience across technical disciplines in a historic five-star hotel.

You must be actively enrolled in an educational institution and eager to learn, with a good command of English. The internship includes a monthly allowance of €750 gross, plus access to Minor Hotels University Northern Europe training and employee discounts across properties.

• Interest in technical maintenance, engineering, or facility operations.

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs.

• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks.
• Contribute to technical assignments in a historic hotel setting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support operations.

As a Maintenance Intern, you will play an essential role in ensuring our historic hotel continues to operate smoothly behind the scenes. Working alongside our Engineering team, you will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of technical disciplines while contributing to a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience for our guests.During your internship, you will:

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs across the hotel.
• Help maintain equipment, installations, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and regular inspections throughout the property.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment and technical installations.
• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks, including wiring and cabling projects.
• Contribute to a variety of technical assignments within a historic five‑star hotel environment.
• Help monitor materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support the operational excellence of the hotel.
