Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the Netherlands seeks a Maintenance Engineer Troubleshooter for our new Sassenheim site. You will troubleshoot equipment, organize technicians and vendors, and support the startup phase to ensure smooth operations.

You will coordinate with the wider Leiden site maintenance team (80 FTE) and drive improvements while ensuring timely, compliant maintenance and clear communication with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or post-secondary vocational (MBO-4) in Engineering/Technical subjects with 3–7 years’ pharma or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment in a factory environment.
• Strong English language communication; Dutch preferred.
• Proficient MS Office and CMMS (SAP).
• Familiar with RCA tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting tasks on equipment and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance and align priorities with customers.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to inform status and manage expectations.
• Support root cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of assets and procedures; provide guidance to team members.
• Define spare part strategy and support project maintenance deliverables.
• Ensure maintenance activities are timely and compliant with company procedures.
