Job summary

NH Den Haag is seeking an in-house maintenance employee to monitor and service the building's technical systems. You will support the maintenance manager, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with vendors and departments to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes guest-focused service, energy and cost awareness, and the ability to handle incidents quickly. The position is full-time at NH Den Haag, offering development within Minor Hotels’ global brand.

Qualifications

• Experience as a handyman with broad technical knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair diverse building systems.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English for guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance manager in day-to-day work and oversee preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Carry out corrective maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in implementing security measures and supervise permits.
• Coordinate with vendors for contracts and investments.
• Organize duties and maintenance activities with external vendors and departments.
• Monitor energy consumption and maintenance costs (water, electricity).
• Set up meeting rooms (AV, lighting) as needed.
• Resolve guest incidents promptly and appropriately.

As an in-house technician (f/m/d), you will be responsible for monitoring all maintenance services for the building's technical systems and carrying out repair and maintenance work.

Your Role at a Glance

• Assist the maintenance manager in the day to day work and oversee the preventive maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
• Carry out all corrective maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in the implementation of security measures and supervise availability of necessary permits.
• Organize with the manager the proposals for investment, replacement, adjustment of contracts with vendors.
• Support the maintenance manager in the organization of the duties and maintenance activities of external vendors into the hotel, and coordinate these activities with all the departments involved.
• Collaborate in the control and follow up of energy consumptions and maintenance costs e.g. water and electricity.
• Assist in the setup of meeting rooms (audiovisuals, lighting, etc).
• Solve guest incidents and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
