Job summary

Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam is seeking an in-house technician to monitor the building’s technical systems and carry out repair and maintenance work. You will join a vibrant hospitality team dedicated to delivering amazing experiences to our guests and to upholding Avani’s design and service standards.

In this full-time role you will assist the maintenance manager, oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate with external vendors, and help manage energy use and maintenance costs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technician or maintenance role is advantageous.
• Ability to repair and service a range of equipment.
• Dutch and/or English language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance manager with day-to-day tasks and preventive maintenance.
• Carry out corrective maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage energy use and maintenance costs.
• Support setup of meeting rooms and respond to guest issues promptly.

As an in-house technician (f/m/d), you will be responsible for monitoring all maintenance services for the building's technical systems and carrying out repair and maintenance work.

How You’ll Bring the Avani Vibe to Life

• Assist the maintenance manager in the day to day work and oversee the preventive maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
• Carry out all corrective maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in the implementation of security measures and supervise availability of necessary permits.
• Organize with the manager the proposals for investment, replacement, adjustment of contracts with vendors.
• Support the maintenance manager in the organization of the duties and maintenance activities of external vendors into the hotel, and coordinate these activities with all the departments involved.
• Collaborate in the control and follow up of energy consumptions and maintenance costs e.g. water and electricity.
• Assist in the setup of meeting rooms (audiovisuals, lighting, etc).
• Solve guest incidents and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
