Job summary

ASML in the Netherlands seeks a Safety expert to ensure safety approvals and certification of machinery and tools. The role integral to Global Product Safety, enabling designers to develop safe and compliant machinery and tools.

You will review designs for safety & tool compliance, act as a sparring partner to designers, and create CE certification while monitoring evolving regulations and liaising with legal and external bodies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering or related field.
Experience in safety and technical/manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., NEN, IEC OSHA, ANSI, ISO).

Responsibilities

Review designs on machine safety & Tool compliance.
Sparring partner of designers in the design phase.
Create product compliance certification (CE).
2nd line support for competence organization and consultancy to leads.
Follow evolving machine safety legislation and assess impact on ASML.
Network with peers inside and outside ASML on safety issues.
Communicate Safety & Compliance information to all levels.
Manage intake of new legislation, standards, and guidelines and identify changes.
Consult with corporate legal on regulatory changes and policy alignment.
Initiate impact assessments for changes in legislation/standards and prepare impact analyses.
