ASML in the Netherlands seeks a Safety expert to ensure safety approvals and certification of machinery and tools. The role integral to Global Product Safety, enabling designers to develop safe and compliant machinery and tools.
You will review designs for safety & tool compliance, act as a sparring partner to designers, and create CE certification while monitoring evolving regulations and liaising with legal and external bodies.

Within global Product Safety we have to ensure that ASML is developing machinery and Tools that are safe to use and comply to regulations and customer requirements. To achieve this goal the Global Product Safety Tool team facilitates in design requirements enabling designers creatingin developing safe & compliant Machinery and Tools.
Review designs on machine safety & Tool compliance
Sparring partner of designers in the design phase
Creates product compliance certification (CE)
2nd line support for competence organization, consultancy role towards competence leads
Closely follow the evolving machine safety legislation and assess its impact on ASML
Networking with peers in- and outside ASML (other industries) on safety and implementation issues
Communicate relevant Safet & Compliance (S&C) information to all levels in the organization
Manage the intake of new legislation, Standards and guidelines: use IT tooling to identify upcoming changes, handle incoming information from external organizations (notified bodies),
Consult frequently with corporate legal on impact assessment of changes in the regulatory landscape ensuring alignment with corporate policies
Manage the Initiate impact assessments process of changes in new legislation/standards for ASML, prepare the impact analysis for the regulatory board
Bachelor’s or master's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in safety, preferable in a technical or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (E.g., NEN, IEC OSHA, ANSI, ISO)

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
