Job summary

Hermès in Amsterdam is seeking a Sales Associate to be the heart of in-store activities, welcoming visitors with warmth and delivering high-quality service across Hermès universes. You will adapt to each client, build lasting relationships and drive sales while upholding the brand’s elegance and standards.

You will engage with clients, develop sales across all product universes, and respond to inquiries with empathy. Fluency in Dutch and English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant customer facing experience in luxury retail or another high-end service environment.
• A true passion for people and service.
• A team player attitude to reach a common goal and go the extra mile.
• Fluent Dutch and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to different cultures and a real sense of empathy.
• Broad interest/knowledge in topics of general culture (Arts, Travel, Literature, News...).
• Up to date on luxury market trends and social media activity.

Responsibilities

• Be the client’s first impression of Hermès image & convey warmth, courtesy, elegance and simplicity at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service adapted to the culture & personality of each client and maintain a pleasant shopping environment consistent with the Hermès brand image.
• Develop sales across all product universes, always keeping in mind the quality of products & the excellence of service that Hermès wishes to give to its clients.
• Call on current & potential customers to establish & maintain client relationships and to inform about new products & services.
• Identify & handle client enquiries and concerns.
