Job summary

Hermès in Amsterdam seeks a Sales Associate to be the in-store face of the brand, delivering high-quality service and building lasting client relationships across Hermès universes.

You will welcome visitors with warmth and elegance, develop sales across product families, and adapt to diverse cultures while maintaining the brand's exceptional standards. For success, 5+ years in luxury retail and fluency in Dutch and English are required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant customer facing experience in luxury retail or another high-end service environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Passion for people and service.
• Team player attitude to reach common goals and go the extra mile.
• Ability to adapt to different cultures and empathize with clients.
• Broad interest/knowledge in general culture (Arts, Travel, Literature, News).

Responsibilities

• Be the client’s first impression of Hermès image and convey warmth, courtesy, elegance and simplicity.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with the brand culture and ambiance.
• Develop sales across all product universes while maintaining product quality and service excellence.
• Call on current and potential customers to establish and maintain client relationships and inform about new products and services.
• Identify and handle client inquiries and concerns.
