Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Amsterdam seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead a signature restaurant during and after its rebranding. You will oversee guest journey, service excellence, and day-to-day operations, while collaborating with departments to deliver a remarkable dining experience in a luxury hotel setting.

The role requires a commercially minded leader who can develop teams, drive profitability, and maintain the highest hospitality standards across all guest touchpoints.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership and direction to the restaurant team, ensuring seamless daily operations.
• Leads rebranding/opening initiatives with service concept development and training.
• Supports People & Culture trainings and activities to foster a strong team culture.
• Collaborates with Marketing to enhance public exposure, activations, and partnerships.
• Oversees guest journey from reservation to farewell, delivering exceptional service.
• Monitors guest feedback and online reputation, implementing improvements.
• Drives financial performance by managing labour, revenue, and costs for profitability.
• Builds relationships with guests and the local community to position the restaurant as a top destination.
• Coaches and mentors FOH staff, fostering high performance and succession planning.
• Ensures health & safety, licensing, and company standards are met.
• Collaborates with culinary team for a unified guest experience.
• Maintains a welcoming, organized, and professional environment.
