Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is seeking a Houseman to join our Housekeeping team in Amsterdam. You will provide a seamless, efficient and friendly service, manage materials and inventory, and ensure high cleanliness standards across public areas and back-of-house spaces.

Responsibilities include assisting with Guestroom cleaning and turndown, handling lost and found, reporting defects, and supporting laundry and minibar duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas, ideally in a luxury property.
• Legal permission to work in The Netherlands (permit or EU-passport).
• Good knowledge of English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide a seamless, efficient and friendly service at all times.
• Handle work materials and inventory, ensure equipment and cleaning supplies are used correctly and safely.
• Ensure cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, floors, offices and back of house areas.
• Support with cleaning of Guestrooms and Turndown Service.
• Forward Lost and Founds to the Housekeeping Office.
• Report technical defects.
• Deliver and return extra beds and baby cots.
• Distribute laundry, room and minibar amenities to floor pantries.
• Receive, check, clean, iron and package guest laundry and hotel uniforms.
