Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is seeking a Public Area Attendant to join the Housekeeping team. You will be responsible for keeping all hotel public areas clean, including deep-cleaning and handling specialized equipment, while maintaining brand standards and assisting guests with requests.

We look for candidates with public area cleaning experience, flexibility for rotating shifts, and the legal right to work in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Experience with public area cleaning, ideally in a hotel.
• Flexibility and adaptability - rotating shift schedule (morning, evening, night), weekends and public holidays.
• Legal permission to work in The Netherlands (permit or EU-passport).
• Speaks and understands English.
• Accommodation in or around Amsterdam.
• A strong sense of responsibility, flexible work ethic, and eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas in the hotel, including deep-cleaning and handling of specialised cleaning equipment.
• Taking pride in ensuring constant tidiness of your workspace, equipment and work areas. Ensuring quality and brand standards in the public areas are met and actively assist the guests with special requests.
• To participate in departmental meetings and tailor-made training sessions organised by the housekeeping department.
• You will report to the Public Area Supervisor.
