Job summary

Corendon Hotels & Resorts in Amsterdam is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for its prestigious W Amsterdam property. You play a key role in creating a safe and secure environment for guests, Talent, and staff, conducting security rounds and handling incidents with discretion.

You will work in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality setting, collaborate across departments, and apply SOPs while keeping guests at the center.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Experience in a similar Security or Loss Prevention position within a 5-star hotel environment.
• Security qualification mandatory.
• Has a BHV certificate or is willing to obtain it.
• Alert, responsible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Understands confidentiality and professionalism.
• Flexible and able to work with different departments.
• Has a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety, security and well-being of Talent, guests, visitors and the hotel premises.
• Take primary action in situations involving fire, theft, trespassing, burglary and first aid.
• Ensure all safety and security policies and house rules are followed.
• Conduct regular security rounds throughout all areas and corridors of both hotel buildings.
• Record and report incidents accurately in accordance with company requirements.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to confidentiality policies.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with loud music and collaborate with other departments.
• Put the guest at the center of everything you do and act to create a safe, unforgettable guest experience.
