Corendon is looking for a Loss Prevention Officer for W Amsterdam to join our security team. You’ll help create a safe, secure environment for guests, Talent and staff in a fast-paced luxury setting.

You’ll conduct rounds, respond to incidents, and uphold SOPs while collaborating with other departments. Fluent English, security qualifications and a demeanor suited to high-end hospitality are essential for success in this role.

Formación

• Fluent English is required for guest and colleague communication.
• Experience in a similar security or loss prevention role in a high-end hotel is preferred.
• Must hold a valid security qualification and BHV certificate.
• Must have a valid work permit for the Netherlands, where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee safety and security of Talent, guests, visitors and hotel premises.
• Take primary action in incidents including fire, theft, trespassing and first aid.
• Conduct regular security rounds across both buildings.
• Record and report incidents accurately per SOPs.
• Attend required security and safety training.

What does the job include?

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you play an essential role in creating a safe and secure environment for our guests, Talent, visitors and hotel premises.

You are proactive, alert and professional, and know exactly how to act when situations require your attention. From conducting security rounds to responding to incidents and emergencies, you help ensure that W Amsterdam remains a safe place where everyone can enjoy the experience.

• Oversee the safety, security and overall well-being of Talent, guests, visitors and the hotel premises;

• Take primary action in situations involving fire, theft, trespassing, burglary and first aid;

• Ensure all safety and security policies and house rules are correctly implemented and followed;

• Conduct regular security rounds throughout all areas and corridors of both hotel buildings;

• Comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of W Amsterdam;

• Supervise the issuing and management of operational, locker and office keys;

• Attend required security and safety training;

• Accurately record and report incidents in accordance with company requirements;

• Handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to company confidentiality policies regarding incidents, personal and financial information, security procedures and safety risks;

• Work confidently in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure and with loud music. Gotta love it;

• Work flexibly and collaborate with other departments. We are ALL-IN, and you’re not the only one on stage;

• Communicate clearly with your team and other departments. Working together is key;

• Put the guest at the center of everything you do and take action whenever you see an opportunity to create a safe and unforgettable guest experience.

• Is fluent in English;

• Preferably has experience in a similar Security or Loss Prevention position within a 5-star hotel environment;

• Has a mandatory Security qualification;

• Has a BHV certificate or is willing to obtain this;

• Is alert, responsible and able to remain calm under pressure;

• Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism;

• Is comfortable working in a dynamic, international luxury hospitality environment;

• Is flexible and enjoys working closely with different departments;

• Has a valid work permit for the Netherlands, where applicable.
