Flow Traders in Amsterdam is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our Development team. You will build low-latency, high-throughput systems powering global trading and work with quants, traders, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, explore new technologies, and contribute to architecture and quality from design to production. A fast-paced, collaborative culture awaits with continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in professional software development with C++, Java, or Rust.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ownership; eager to learn new skills.
• Experience with LLM-augmented development and rapid prototyping.
• Comfortable participating in on-call rotations.
• Bachelor or Master in Computing Science, Mathematics or other quantitative fields.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and evolve a high-performance, distributed trading platform leveraging modern technologies.
• Partner with quants, traders, and business stakeholders to transform complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor and inspire junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
• Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating third-party tools and platforms.
• Own software quality end to end through code reviews, testing, deployment, and production reliability.
