Job summary

Flow Traders in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to build and optimize our in-house trading technology, enabling researchers and traders with low-latency capabilities. You will work on market data, pricing, and strategies across a global platform, collaborating with technologists, quants and traders to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-graduation professional C++ software development experience.
• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Ability to write clean, reliable, and highly scalable code.
• Experience in parallel, asynchronous, and multithreaded programming.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical business colleagues.
• Interest in achieving maximum performance from available hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and global rollout of our Core platform used in multiple business/focus groups (Market data, Quantitative research, Pricing, Strategies).
• Be involved in the development process in a fast-paced iterative cycle with traders/quants.
• Develop tools/frameworks for tuning and developing data-driven pricing and trading strategies.
• Collaborate with focus group engineers, Quants and Technical traders to refine requirements and iterate on platform design.
