Job summary

Flow Traders in Amsterdam seeks experienced Software Engineers to build and evolve a high-performance, distributed trading platform. You will partner with quants, traders and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive engineering excellence, and evaluate new technologies to deliver low-latency, reliable systems. On-call rotations and continuous learning are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in professional software development with typed languages (C++, Java, Rust).
• Able to work productively with AI-enhanced tooling and rapid prototyping.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and evolve a high-performance, distributed trading platform.
• Collaborate with quants, traders and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Evaluate new technologies and integrate third-party tools where valuable.
• Ensure end-to-end software quality through reviews, tests and deployment.
