Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent in English; Dutch, Spanish, and/or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing: Create and manage purchase orders in Blending ERP for Finwerd NL and Finwerd Nigeria; follow up with suppliers on delays, documentation, and discrepancies; maintain supplier data; support supplier negotiations with the GLM; assist with supplier strategy rollout.
• Logistics Coordination: Plan, book, and coordinate sea, air, and road freight; monitor lead times and delivery dates; organise EU-based collections of raw materials; ensure export documentation is complete and archived; track critical ingredients; back up GLM as needed.
• ERP & Process Improvement: Maintain data quality in Blending ERP; be the go-to for ERP queries; lead small improvement projects; document SOPs; identify cost and efficiency improvements across NL and Nigeria.

ABOUT FINWERD

Finwerd is a fast-growing ingredients and commodities company with operations in Amsterdam and Nigeria. As we scale up, our Logistics & Purchasing team is expanding — and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

THE ROLE

As Logistics coordinator, you will be the operational backbone of our logistics department, working directly with our Global Logistics Manager (GLM). You'll coordinate shipments across multiple freight modes — sea, air, and inland/road — manage purchasing activities, and play a key role in improving how we work, from ERP data quality to end-to-end process optimisation.

This is not a seat-warmer role. We're looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity, and a bias for improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Purchasing

• Create and manage purchase orders for Finwerd NL and Finwerd Nigeria in our ERP system (Blending)
• Follow up with suppliers on delays, documentation, and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate supplier profiles, pricing, and lead time data
• Prepare purchasing data to support supplier negotiations alongside the GLM
• Support the development and rollout of supplier strategy

Logistics Coordination

• Plan, book, and coordinate sea, air, and road freight shipments — including container loads to Nigeria and other African destinations
• Monitor supplier lead times, material readiness, and delivery dates; flag and resolve deviations
• Organise EU-based collections and deliveries of raw materials
• Ensure export documentation is complete, compliant, and properly archived
• Track critical ingredients to prevent supply disruptions
• Step in as GLM back-up for day-to-day operational activities when needed

ERP & Process Improvement

• Maintain and improve data quality in our ERP system (Blending)
• Be the go-to person for internal departments on ERP-related queries
• Lead small improvement projects to enhance system usability and process efficiency
• Document agreed standards and working instructions (SOPs)
• Identify and propose cost and efficiency optimisations across NL and Nigeria operations
• Challenge the status quo and drive best practice implementation

WHO YOU ARE

Background

• 3–4 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• We're open to all industries — what matters is your mindset, not your sector

Skills & Tools

• Comfortable working with ERP systems; experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English (Dutch, Spanish, and/or French is a plus)
• EU driving licence is a plus
