Job summary

Loyens & Loeff, Amsterdam, is seeking an experienced Legal AI Engineer to design, implement, and improve AI solutions at the intersection of law and technology. You will translate legal and business needs into practical AI workflows and coordinate with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver value.

You will help organize and maintain knowledge assets, ensuring reliability, scalability, and responsible adoption across international teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law or related field, or substantial experience with legal knowledge.
Strong interest in legal tech and business processes at the intersection of both.
Comfort working with legal professionals and complex information-heavy processes.
Experience with AI tools and configuring low-code/no-code workflows.
Ability to translate user needs into practical AI-enabled solutions and guide implementation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve AI solutions aligned with business goals.
Translate legal and business use cases into AI-enabled workflows and coordinate with engineers.
Define standards for structuring legal knowledge and information assets.
Advise on knowledge management to scale and reuse AI solutions.
Coordinate intake, evaluation and delivery of AI initiatives with stakeholders.
Develop testing activities to assess quality and value.
Prepare documentation and demonstrations to support adoption.
Monitor AI developments and expand the firm's AI portfolio.
