Qblox in Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, seeks a Quantum System Architect – Software to own the architecture from FPGA firmware through embedded systems to high-level C++ and Python APIs. You will design the control stack and guide its evolution as we scale from 100+ to 1,000+ qubits, balancing hardware constraints with software abstractions.

You will lead and align multiple teams, set technical direction, and define interfaces that empower engineers to move fast.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of software engineering across multiple stack layers and languages.
• Ability to set technical direction and mentor engineering teams.
• Experience designing high-level abstractions while accounting for hardware constraints.

Responsabilidades

• Define the control stack architecture across firmware, embedded software, compiler and APIs.
• Translate user needs into architectural decisions in collaboration with product teams.
• Shape core software interfaces and drive unified technical vision.
• Plan for 10x scale while maintaining robust foundational design.
• Bridge hardware, firmware, software, and product teams toward a shared vision.
• Advocate developer-centric standards to reduce friction and boost efficiency.
• Mentor teams and engage with customers to evaluate architectural impact.
