Job summary

Tellet is seeking a Lead Finance & Control in Amsterdam to own financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, and insights for decision making. You will manage the external accountant and drive compliance, controls and audit readiness, while translating data into actionable management insights.

The role is part-time (24–32 hours/week) in a fast-moving SaaS environment. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, and you will collaborate across teams to sharpen processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a financial or financial control role.
• Strong grasp of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Accurate, proactive and you spot issues before they become problems.
• Experience working with external accountants and auditors.
• Comfortable with financial systems and Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Monthly close process and financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Managing and coordinating with our external accountant.
• Ensuring compliance, audit readiness and solid internal controls.
• Client invoicing and monitoring outstanding payments.
• Translating financial data into clear insights for management.
• Identifying where financial processes can be sharper and more scalable.

Education

As our Lead Finance & Control, you own the financial reporting, keep budgets and forecasts on track, and make sure the team always has clear, reliable insights to make decisions. You manage the relationship with our external accountant and are the go-to person for everything financial.

You don't wait to be asked, you flag what matters and bring clarity to complexity.

• At least 3 years of experience in a financial or financial control role
• Strong grasp of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Accurate, proactive and you spot issues before they become problems
• Experience working with external accountants and auditors
• Comfortable with financial systems and Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Affinity with a tech or SaaS environment is a plus
