Job summary

Drees & Sommer Netherlands seeks an experienced EHS/HSSE professional to lead health and safety on a complex semiconductor project. You will own EHS/HSSE execution, monitor compliance, and drive risk management across an international site

The role requires coordinating with authorities, partners, and internal teams, with strong communication in English and readiness to travel in Europe. Flexible work options include partial remote work and part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a technician or master craftsman in construction or building services engineering, or a comparable qualification in occupational safety (e.g. Safety Specialist or Health & Safety Coordinator)
• Several years of project experience (minimum 3-5 years) on large-scale construction or industrial projects, familiarity with EPC/EPCM delivery models
• Experience in Hazid/Hazop analyses and facilitating workshops is an advantage
• Proven experience in leading and managing internal and external teams, with strong assertiveness and collaboration skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of German, Flemish or French is a strong advantage
• Full flexibility and willingness to travel and work on international construction sites in Germany and Europe

• Owns EHS/HSSE within a complex semiconductor project
• Implements and monitors EHS/HSSE policies per regulations and standards
• Identifies and manages environment, health, and safety risks
• Establishes EHS/HSSE management systems per client requirements
• Delivers training and awareness programs for stakeholders
• Monitors EHS/HSSE performance and drives improvement
• Collaborates with authorities, suppliers, and stakeholders to reach objectives
