Job summary

Drees & Sommer Netherlands seeks an experienced EHS/HSSE professional to lead occupational health and safety on a highly complex semiconductor project. You will own EHS/HSSE across the site, implement policies, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in an international setting.

Flexible base with on-site presence required at a semiconductor plant; travel to Europe will be necessary. Strong background in construction safety and EPC/EPCM delivery is essential.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a technician or master craftsman in construction or building services engineering, or a comparable safety qualification.
• 3–5 years of project experience on large-scale construction or industrial projects (e.g. plant engineering, life sciences, chemical industry).
• Experience with EPC/EPCM delivery models.
• Proven leadership of internal and external teams; strong communication, motivation and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German/Flemish/French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work on international construction sites in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of occupational health and safety (EHS/HSSE) within a complex semiconductor project.
• Implement and monitor EHS/HSSE policies per regulations and standards.
• Identify and manage environment, health, safety risks.
• Establish EHS/HSSE management systems per guidelines and client needs.
• Deliver training and awareness programs for stakeholders.
• Monitor and report HSSE performance; drive improvements.
• Collaborate with authorities, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
