Job summary

Drees & Sommer seeks an experienced EHS/HSSE professional for a highly complex semiconductor project. You will own, implement, and monitor health, safety and environmental policies on-site across Europe, coordinating with partners and authorities.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant project experience, strong leadership, and fluent English; travel across Europe is expected. Flexible home base with on-site presence at project locations.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a technician or master craftsman in construction or building services engineering, or a comparable safety qualification.
• 3–5 years of project experience on large-scale construction or industrial projects with EPC/EPCM delivery.
• Experience in Hazid/Hazop analyses and workshops is an advantage.
• Proven leadership and strong communication, collaboration, and motivation skills.
• Fluent English; knowledge of German, Flemish or French is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel and work on international construction sites in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of occupational health and safety (EHS/HSSE) within a highly complex industrial plant project in the semiconductor manufacturing sector.
• Implementation and monitoring of EHS/HSSE policies in line with applicable regulations and international standards.
• Independent identification and management of risks related to environment, health, and safety.
• Establishment of EHS/HSSE management systems for the project in accordance with company guidelines and specific client requirements.
• Support and delivery of training and awareness programs for internal and external stakeholders, including project partners.
• Regular monitoring and reporting of internal and external EHS/HSSE performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaboration with authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve EHS/HSSE objectives.
