Job summary

ITSync in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to lead a large-scale migration from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud. You will work hands-on with network and security technologies to create a secure and reliable cloud environment.

The role emphasizes migrating networks and firewalls to the cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP), configuring Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, optimizing routing and VPNs, and automating processes with Ansible or Terraform in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• HBO/WO degree in IT or a related field.
• Certification or proven experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Infoblox, F5 GTM and LTM.
• Hands-on experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with at least one scripting language: Ruby, Python, Bash or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of networks and firewalls to a cloud environment (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Configure and manage firewalls such as Fortinet or Palo Alto.
• Optimize routing, switching and VPNs.
• Automate network processes using Ansible or Terraform.
• Work with security teams to ensure a secure, compliant cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
