Job summary

ITProposal is seeking a Lead Application Packaging Engineer for a Public Sector environment in the Amsterdam/Utrecht area. You will drive packaging, deployment, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of enterprise applications within a secure Microsoft-based ecosystem.

Responsibilities include ensuring policy compliance, analyzing requirements, and publishing applications to devices and user groups, with a focus on successful deployment outcomes and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Application Packaging.
  • Strong expertise with Intune, MSIX, SCCM/MECM, PowerShell, and Windows deployment frameworks.
  • Experience in structured, policy-driven environments (Public Sector preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.

  • Validate post-installation functionality to ensure packaged applications match the original source behavior.
  • Package and publish both available and required applications to targeted devices and user groups.
  • Analyze cache logs and diagnose failures related to application deployment or packaging.

About the Role

A major Public Sector organization with multiple locations across the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Lead Application Packaging Engineer to strengthen its digital workplace environment. You will contribute to a secure, stable, and modern Microsoft‑based ecosystem by leading packaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with customer policies, standards, and deployment procedures across all managed environments.
  • Analyze, gather, and document technical requirements for new and existing application software.
  • Support, maintain, and enhance application packaging to meet evolving business and operational needs.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience supporting large, multi‑site organizations.
  • Familiarity with secure government or public‑sector IT environments.
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting for packaging workflows.
