Us3 Consulting is seeking a Lead Application Packaging Engineer to design, package, deploy, and support enterprise applications across modern Microsoft environments in Amsterdam. You will drive packaging standards, automate deployment, and collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable software delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in MSIX/MSI/App-V, Intune, SCCM/MECM, and strong troubleshooting and lifecycle management skills to support enterprise

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Application Packaging and Desktop Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, maintain, and optimize application packages for enterprise deployment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies for deployment.
• Analyze technical requirements for new software packages.
• Package, test, and publish applications to enterprise devices.
• Maintain and enhance existing packages to meet evolving requirements.
• Troubleshoot installation and deployment issues on end-user systems.
• Investigate and resolve visibility issues within Company Portal.
• Analyze deployment and cache logs to identify failures.
• Validate functionality after deployment against source installs.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Application Packaging Engineer to design, package, deploy, and support enterprise applications across modern Microsoft environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application packaging, deployment automation, troubleshooting, and software lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and security policies.

This role requires strong technical expertise in application deployment technologies, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work closely with infrastructure, security, and end-user computing teams to deliver a stable and secure digital workplace.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Application Packaging and Desktop Engineering.
• Strong experience with Microsoft application packaging technologies.
• Expertise in application deployment and software distribution.
• Experience troubleshooting application installation and deployment issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
• Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
• Experience with MSIX, MSI, App-V, or similar packaging technologies.
• Experience with Company Portal application deployment.
• Ability to analyze deployment, installation, and cache logs.
• Experience with software testing and validation.
• Knowledge of enterprise software lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within large enterprise or public sector environments.
• Knowledge of Windows security policies and endpoint management.
