Job summary

New Garden Helmond zoekt een onafhankelijke Working Chef Level I om in onze keuken te werken. Je bereidt gerechten, presenteert componenten en werkt onder leiding van de head chef, met mogelijkheid tot zelfstandig leiden van de keuken.

Taken omvatten kwaliteitsbewaking, voorraadbeheer en begeleiding van keukenhulpen. Salaris ruim €2.750–€3.250 bruto per maand bij 38 uur/week; fulltime functie aan het adres in Helmond.

Qualifications

• MBO-3 werk- en denkniveau is vereist.

Responsibilities

• Selecteren en voorbereiden van ingrediënten en componenten.
• Tijdens het koken beoordelingen doen op gaarheid, smaak en kleur en bijsturen.
• Zorgen voor constante kwaliteit en hygiëne.
• Toezicht houden op keukenhelpers en bijsturen waar nodig.
• Voorraad bijhouden, inkopen doen en leveringen controleren.
• Dagelijkse schoonmaak van werkplek en keukenapparatuur.
• Technische storingen melden en kleine problemen oplossen.
• Input leveren voor menu-samenstelling en werkwijzen.

Job description

We are new garden, a global/Chinese/Indonesian restaurant, looking for a passionate Independent Working Chef Level I to join our kitchen team. Are you a skilled chef who thrives in the kitchen? As our chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes and meal components. You will work under the guidance of our head chef or owner but can also independently manage the kitchen when needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow chefs and, if required, supervise kitchen assistants. You will follow established guidelines regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and visual presentation. Our restaurant is located at address dorpsstraat 52 5708GJ Helmond NL.

Tasks

• Selecting and preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
• Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
• Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making corrections where necessary.
• Keeping track of stock levels, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
• Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
• Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus, the menu list, and working methodsA professional and pleasant working environment.
• Proper guidance during the onboarding period.
