Filmhuis Den Haag is creating a production kitchen and seeks a Kitchen Lead / Independent Cook to build and shape operations from the ground up. You will lead daily kitchen activities, produce food for the food corner, events and hospitality, and collaborate with the hospitality team to deliver consistent quality and guest experiences.

The role emphasizes ownership, practical problem-solving, and driving efficiencies in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Experience working independently in a professional kitchen.
• Good communication skills and the ability to lead and support colleagues.
• Interest in menu development and food production.
• Ability to organise stock and place orders.
• Practical and cost-conscious approach to kitchen operations.
• Professional attitude towards food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Good Dutch and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the kitchen during your shift.
• Prepare and produce food for the food corner, events and hospitality activities.
• Develop and improve menus, recipes and food concepts.
• Help create a practical and efficient production system.
• Train, guide and onboard new kitchen colleagues and interns.
