Job summary

Orbital Eye in Delft is seeking a Software Engineer to turn satellite data into actionable insights for critical infrastructure monitoring. Design, build, and test software that processes signals and imagery at scale, working with experienced engineers to translate signal processing and Earth observation techniques into production-grade code.

You will contribute to data pipelines from raw satellite feeds to operator-ready insights, and continuously sharpen your craft through code reviews,

Qualifications

• Strong drive to master software engineering with proven internship or first job.
• Strong foundation in physics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar quantitative field.
• Strong interest in signal processing and Earth observation.
• Python experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience with satellite data, remote sensing, or image processing and scientific computing is advantageous.
• Hybrid work preference with in-office Delft 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test software that processes satellite and sensor data at scale.
• Work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to turn signal processing and Earth observation techniques into production-grade code.
• Contribute to our data pipelines, from raw satellite feeds to the insights operators rely on.
• Continuously sharpen your craft through code review, pairing, and mentorship from senior engineers.
