Our client is a leading European company in the food market, with a particular focus on Japanese cuisine. To strengthen their presence in the European market, they are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join their team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while actively developing new business opportunities. You will also play a key role in promoting their range of authentic Japanese food products.

As Japanese cuisine continues to gain popularity in the Chinese market, we are specifically looking for a Chinese-speaking professional who can introduce and promote our products to a variety of clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outside sales activities: schedule client visits, present new products, and prepare proposals and quotations.
• Promote and sell Japanese food products to restaurants, catering companies, hotels, wholesalers and retailers.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Deliver presentations on new items, services, and sales performance.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and vendors.
• Monitor invoices, credits, and account activity.
• Stay up to date on market trends, products, and competitor activities.
• Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.

Requirements

• Fluent in Chinese and English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage
• Valid driving license (B) required
• Must hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands
• Able to commute to the Amsterdam area
• At least 1 year of B2B sales experience (preferred)
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail
• A flexible, proactive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Japanese food culture is a strong plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
