Job summary

DSV in the Netherlands is seeking a junior freight forwarder in Ede to learn the fundamentals of international logistics and freight forwarding. You will develop skills by organizing shipments, building relationships with customers and partners, and coordinating with DSV colleagues abroad.

Qualifications

• secondary vocational or higher professional education-level working and thinking skills, as well as the motivation to learn the freight forwarding profession;
• curiosity about international logistics, different countries and the dynamics of road transport;
• an accurate, eager-to-learn and resilient approach, combined with a collaborative mindset and the confidence to ask questions;
• a good command of both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• identify the best transport solution considering routes, costs, capacity, deadlines and country regulations
• build and maintain relationships with customers, hauliers, partners and DSV locations abroad
• communicate with customers and partners to monitor shipments and find solutions
• stay calm and focused when plans change to respond effectively
