Job summary

Rabobank is seeking a Junior Data Scientist for its Early Career Program in the Netherlands. You will learn to build AI solutions within the CLUE team, focusing on client lifecycle understanding and predictive models, using Python and Databricks.

The role blends ML with generative AI and ML Ops across an 18-month program. You will work in a team of around 15, in a hybrid setup with a strong emphasis on development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field (CS/AI/DS/Math) or comparable studies.
• 0-2 years of working experience after graduating.
• Excellent command of English.
• Interest in traditional ML and generative AI, including Agentic AI.
• Experience with Python and data science tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain AI solutions in practice within the CLUE team.
• Develop analytics solutions including data engineering, ML engineering, and model evaluation.
• Translate business requests into data science solutions and practical applications.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues to turn ideas into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical development within the Advanced Analytics community.

Within the Area Analytics Accelerations you will join the CLUE (Client Lifecycle Understanding Engine) team and contribute to building and improving models and analytical solutions to improve our client interaction, like client clustering models and propensity models for product suggestion. You will primarily be using traditional machine learning techniques complemented with generative and agentic AI.
