Job summary

Rabobank is seeking a Junior Data Scientist for its Data & Analytics Early Career Program in Utrecht. You will learn to build AI solutions using traditional ML and emerging generative AI, joining the CLUE team to improve client interactions with models like clustering and propensity scoring.

You will work in a mixed environment, focusing on data engineering, ML engineering and infrastructure, while developing skills through workshops and hands-on projects over 18 months.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience with traditional ML/statistics and AI models.
• 0–2 years of work experience after graduating.
• Experience with Python.
• Interest in traditional ML and generative AI (Agentic AI).
• Understand the technical infrastructure behind AI solutions, not only models.
• Clear communication of technical ideas to colleagues.
• Excellent command of English and Netherlands residence.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop, maintain and improve analytics solutions (data engineering, ML engineering, model evaluation).
• Combine statistics, data insights with technical infrastructure for reliable AI solutions.
• Translate business requests into data science solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues to turn ideas into practical apps.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the Advanced Analytics community.
