Job summary

Multi.engineering in the Netherlands seeks a Shipbuilding Engineer for a 135m rivercruiser project. You will perform engineering tasks using AutoCAD 2D, develop foundations, space layouts, and fabrication drawings to support production.

This freelance/project role starts ASAP and runs through December 2026, with relocation assistance and travel cost compensation as offered by the client.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Shipbuilding, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D and technical drawing.
• Experience in shipbuilding or marine engineering.
• Experience with arrangements, foundation drawings and fabrication/assembly drawings.
• Understand detailed engineering and the transition from design to production.

Responsibilities

• You perform engineering tasks using AutoCAD 2D.
• You contribute to the engineering process by preparing the required technical information, including system and space descriptions, floor plans, arrangements, lists, and fabrication and assembly drawings.
• You create foundation drawings for equipment and systems.
• You participate in and supervise the detailed engineering process.
• You provide technical support during the production phase when required.
