Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specialized in shipbuilding to develop mechanical systems for submarines. Responsibilities include creating 3D models in Autodesk Inventor and performing structural analyses with ANSYS. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience and must possess EU nationality due to project requirements. The position offers competitive compensation and support for relocation if needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical product development.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems such as cranes or gearboxes.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for modelling mechanical systems.
  • Solid experience with ANSYS for performing strength and structural analyses.
  • EU nationality required for military projects.

  • Develop and engineer mechanical systems and components for submarines.
  • Create 3D models and detailed designs using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Perform structural and strength analyses in ANSYS.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust mechanical designs that meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to exchange ideas, review designs, and ensure integrated engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and design reviews.

  • You will work on the project for 6–12 months.

Salaries and compensation
