Job summary

JD.com Inc. in the Netherlands invites students and recent graduates to join the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program.

Over 3-6 months, you will work with experienced teams on real projects, performing daily category operations, product management, and sales analysis while gaining insight into a global business. You will collaborate with procurement, supply chain, marketing, and operations to resolve daily issues and drive improvements in product visibility and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in Business Administration, E-commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Good numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• Strong interest in e-commerce, retail, and category management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese is a must.

Responsibilities

• Daily Category Operations: support daily e-commerce category operations, including product listings, pricing updates, information management, and promotions.
• Product & Assortment Management: assist category managers in managing product assortments and onboarding new products.
• Sales & Performance Tracking: monitor daily/weekly sales metrics and prepare reports to support decisions.
• Promotion & Campaign Execution: assist with planning, pricing, stock, and tracking campaign performance.
• Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination: communicate with suppliers and work with procurement, supply chain, marketing, and operations.
• Operational Improvement: identify opportunities to improve product visibility and customer experience via data analysis.

About Your Program

You'll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3-6 months, you'll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.

What You'll Do

• Daily Category Operations: Support daily e-commerce category operations, including product listings, pricing updates, product information management, and promotional activities to ensure smooth business operations.
• Product & Assortment Management: Assist Category Managers in managing product assortments, onboarding new products, maintaining product information accuracy, and monitoring product availability.
• Sales & Performance Tracking: Monitor daily and weekly sales performance, including GMV, gross margin, conversion rates, and inventory levels. Prepare regular reports to support business decisions.
• Promotion & Campaign Execution: Support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, coordinate product selections, pricing, and stock availability, and track campaign performance.
• Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination: Assist with supplier communication and work closely with procurement, supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to resolve daily operational issues.
• Operational Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, operational efficiency, and customer experience through data analysis and process optimization.

About You

• Current student or recent graduate in Business Administration, E-commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Good numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel. Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Strong interest in e-commerce, retail, and category management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese is a must
