Job summary

Tribe28 is seeking a talented Java/Kotlin Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend applications, participating in all phases of the software development life cycle. The role emphasizes building scalable software with Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful services in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java/Kotlin experience, knowledge of SQL databases, and familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and/or Kotlin and their core concepts.
• Experience with popular JVM frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• Knowledge of database concepts and experience with SQL.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices is a plus.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java and Kotlin-based applications.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather, refine, and implement software requirements.
• Contribute to code reviews and continuously improve development practices.
