Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer to build, maintain, and improve scalable software applications and services in Amsterdam. You will own end-to-end systems, provide production support, and contribute to architectural decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong Java and Spring Boot skills, plus Kafka, MySQL, and Kubernetes experience. Kotlin is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.

• Continuously improve processes, system performance, reliability, and engineering practices.
• Participate in code reviews and support knowledge sharing within the team.

• Participate in an on-call rotation when required.
