Job summary

Monex Europe Markets S.V is seeking a Head of Desk for the Italian market, based in Amsterdam, to lead the desk and drive revenue in line with regulatory obligations. You will set the commercial strategy for Italy, originate and close key relationships, and manage the desk’s performance with a close eye on compliance and risk.

You will build and develop a team of sales professionals, maintain a strong Italian client network, and oversee pipeline forecasting while reporting to senior leadership

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in FX, international payments or financial markets sales.
• Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
• Experience leading and developing sales teams.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment governing FX and payments in Europe.
• Track record of building and managing a pipeline in a target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Desk leadership & strategy: Define and execute the commercial strategy for the Italian market, aligned with growth plans and targets.
• People management & development: Lead, coach and develop a sales team; hire talent and run performance reviews.
• Client relationships & market coverage: Originate and manage key Italian-speaking corporate and institutional relationships.
• Sales process & enablement: Maintain a disciplined pipeline with forecasting; ensure CRM usage and reporting.
• Reporting on compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory policies and conduct requirements; support audits.
• Market presence: Represent Monex at client events and industry conferences.
