Job summary

Pluxbox is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to join our Hilversum team as a first-line IT support trainee. You will handle software issues via phone, email, or chat, assist with installations and configurations, and log requests in our ticketing system.

You will work with a collaborative international team and gain hands-on experience with Nginx, Linux, Ansible, and the Pluxbox platform in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant academic program.
• Basic understanding of software applications and their functionalities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software-related issues.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• EU citizen or valid work permit for The Netherlands.
• Self-starter, creative, quality-driven and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to users via phone, email or chat.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Pluxbox platform and related services.
• Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates.
• Log and track support requests in the ticketing system; ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with development and IT support to identify recurring issues and improvements.
• Maintain and update software documentation and user guides.
• Conduct software testing to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed.
• Support maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers and networks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely issue resolution and improvements.
• Assist in training users on software usage and best practices.
