Job summary

Optics11 is seeking a Head of IT to shape IT strategy and delivery across workplace, infrastructure, cloud, OT and key enterprise applications. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, own the budget, and manage suppliers to scale IT services in a fast‑growing, international Deep‑Tech company.

You will implement ITIL‑based service models, uphold security and compliance standards, and collaborate with R&D, Data Science and Facilities to ensure reliable operations in a modern hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT function through growth and scale.
• Experience across infrastructure, applications and end-user support.
• Able to coach, develop and empower a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfortable in a hybrid environment with modern IT platforms (M365, Azure, Entra ID).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary IT team across workplace, infrastructure, cloud, OT and Product IT Operations.
• Own IT strategy, architecture, roadmap and priorities with clear plans.
• Establish ITIL-aligned service model with a unified Service Desk and defined SLAs.
• Ensure reliability and recoverability of workplace tech, endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Reduce single points of failure through documentation, knowledge transfer and cross-training.
• Oversee lifecycle of core enterprise applications and integrations (ERP/CRM).
• Build Product IT Operations as a distinct service for cloud and edge components.
• Define IT responsibilities in manufacturing and test environments, including OT networks.
• Implement and operate security controls and work with Security Office on incidents and risks.
• Collaborate with R&D and Data Science on infrastructure and integrations; DevOps/MLOps ownership remains with those teams.
• Plan IT services for new locations, including remote support and logistics.
• Own IT budget and supplier relationships; ensure continuity across partners.
• Drive service rationalization and clear ownership while maintaining continuity.
• Use data on performance, workloads, risks and skills to guide recruitment and investments.
